Center for Health Services Research Launches Website, Invites Membership Applications

The University of Kentucky Center for Health Services Research (CHSR), which serves as a connector, catalyst and creator at UK and UK HealthCare, announces the launch of its new website and seeks membership applicants for its efforts in applying research to optimize health care delivery. The CHSR is focused on creating, testing, and scaling next-generation health services research solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of health delivery within Kentucky and beyond. Building on UK’s culture of collaboration and leveraging UK's extensive resources and talented faculty, the CHSR represents a unique center that will accelerate discovery of new knowledge concerning clinical effectiveness and engineer healthcare delivery to achieve optimal patient value. The new CHSR website includes information about ongoing educational activities, internal and external advisory board members, staff biographies, the vision of the Center for the future, and how to become a member, which is free. Members of the CHSR join a broad network of established researchers and enjoy a number of valuable benefits, including a wide range of educational opportunities, research support from interdisciplinary faculty members, and many more. Faculty members from any college or department, as well as clinical faculty or community faculty from affiliated health systems who are engaged or interested in HSR, are encouraged to apply. The research conducted by and/or in collaboration with the CHSR provides guidance to health care teams at UK HealthCare by leveraging expertise and focusing on critical health research needs, such as population health, implementation science, quality improvement and measurement, patient-centered outcome and comparative effectiveness research, and health informatics. The membership application process and materials can be found under the membership tab on the CHSR's new website. MEDIA CONTACT: Mallory Powell, mallory.powell@uky.edu
